Family is what we are all about at Society Photography. Our joy is in the connection we make with people, their lives, and the precious moments we bring to life in our photographs.
Our family portraits are designed to record your family’s life journey and the stages that should be celebrated – the poignant beauty of pregnancy; the wonder of your first child; the joy that comes with an ever increasing brood; or indeed for no other reason than to simply capture your loved ones together!
Our greatest joy is being a part of a couples journey and capturing images of their lives from before their wedding, through to seeing their kids grow up.
Rather than the staged feeling of an indoor studio, we prefer to shoot at beautiful natural locations, such as Balmoral Beach or the picturesque surrounds of our studio at Headland Park in Mosman. That way we can create an environment where your family can play, laugh, and be at ease.
Our Society Family Portrait Sessions start from $200 which includes the session as well as $100 towards any printed products.
Included in all of our family portrait sessions is a pre-session consultation to chat about your family and get to know you a bit better.
The end result is the most important part of any Society family portrait session, so we also include a personal cinematic viewing session at our studio.
This is that great moment when you’ll see your images and order those that you love. We have a range of presentation options to suit every home.
We even have print packages that include digital files starting at $695.

During the shoot we will capture a range of images to suit a variety of finished pieces. Beautiful landscape images as well as tighter more intimate images that capture your personalities as well as a sense of place and the environment.
All perfect for final presentation as stunning Wall Art in framed, canvas, or acrylic finishes.
We also have options for those spaces in your house where you might want the images a bit smaller such as a framed montage of a few images. Perhaps a Presentation Box with a collection of mounted prints or free standing acrylic Storyblock; perfect for bedside tables or your desk at work.

How do we book?
Step 1
Get in touch to arrange a chat over the phone to talk about your session. This is a great opportunity to get to know you and your partner or family better, and understand how we can best capture and create the perfect end result for you.
We’ll also send you more information about our products and pricing, and discuss the best location for your session.
Step 2
Book a date and time for photographing your family and pay the session fee.
Typically our sessions are midweek however we are happy to offer a Saturday when we’re not out capturing someone’s wedding day. We’ll also arrange a time for your Viewing Experience.
Step 3
Capture amazing images! The fun part is meeting up and spending a relaxed hour or so in a beautiful outdoor location, and letting us do what we do best.
Don’t bribe the kids to sit still and smile - just let them be themselves and we’ll take care of the rest.
Step 4
View Your Photos. Your cinematic Viewing Experience at our studio allows you to see you photos and choose your favourites to turn into beautiful heirlooms to hang on your wall for your family to cherish for generations to come.
Step 5
Collect Your Artwork. This is definitely the best part!
Usually within 3 weeks will have your professionally printed and framed artwork ready for you to collect and proudly display in your home.
